Particle size distribution of airborne nanoparticle

Description:
Scanning mobility particle analysis can be used to determine airborne particle size distribution for particles with diameters from 1 to 1000 nanometres. The equipment consists of an electrostatic classifier and a condensation particle counter. Particles are separated on the basis of their electrical mobility. The graph below shows the size distribution of airborne nanoparticles which have mean diameter 20 nanometres (copyright NPL).
