CEMMNT coordinated and hosted a series of East Midland roadshow events in March to help showcase the latest in state-of-the-art metrology to businesses in the area. The events enabled those in attendance to gain a valuable insight into the ways in which micro and nano technologies are significantly benefiting companies operating in a wide range of industry sectors, from medical technologies through to motorsport and fuel cells.

Delegates including members of Rolls-Royce, DiamondHardSurfaces and Laser Optical Engineering were able to explore the capabilities on offer through CEMMNT's leading partner organisations, with specialised presentations from Allan Pidduck (QinetiQ), Paul Tomlins (NPL), Paul Newbatt (CEMMNT) and Jon Gardiner (Taylor Hobson). Representatives from Gasfill Ltd, NDT Services Ltd and TQC Ltd were also on hand to discuss the ways in which advances in metrology have directly benefited their manufacturing and engineering processes. 

Due to the success of the Roadshow, CEMMNT, funded in part by the East Midlands Development Agency (Emda), are currently planning to host a similar series of events later in the year.
